Part of the remit for the Volvo Ocean Race stopovers was to create stories from that particular location, so in Melbourne as local sailing hero Sophie Ciszek approached land, we created a feature with her adoring parents awaiting her arrival home for Christmas dinner as she completed the final day of her crossing of the Southern Ocean.

This was designed to be part ‘athlete profile’ / part ‘human interest’, whilst integrating the final stages of that particular leg to reveal team MAPFRE’s win into Australia.
